A new world war?

so we all know about the war in Iraq and i just wanted to ask what people thought about it. Frequently i hear things such as, "the war is bad," or "we need to pull our troops out." with the continuation of gas decreasing, natural resources will be something that i think will be fought about. Could the Iraq war be the first of many new conflicts over resources? could Iraq be the next venue in a new World war? please tell me your thoughts.
